New Orleans – 14-year-old culinary sensation, Kid Chef Eliana (Eliana de Las Casas), host of “Cool Kids Cook,” her weekly web radio show on the VoiceAmerica Kids network, celebrates her 100th episode with an interview of James Beard Award-Winning Chef Tory McPhail of the famed New Orleans restaurant, Commander’s Palace. The show will air on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 6pm CDT (7pm EDT, 4pm PDT) on http://www.coolkidscookradio.com.

The accomplished young chef and cookbook author’s weekly radio show, “Cool Kids Cook,” is on VoiceAmerica, the Internet’s largest talk radio network with over 9 million monthly listeners. Notable guests on her radio show have featured some of the top chefs in the nation including Jose’ Andres (“Made in Spain” on PBS), Andrew Zimmern (“Bizarre Foods & Bizarre Foods America” on Travel Channel), Pastry Chef Gale Gand, Melissa d’Arabian (“Ten Dollar Dinners” on Food Network), former White House Executive Pastry Chef Bill Yosses, and so many more. Eliana says, “I can’t believe I’m in my third year of the show. I’m so excited to interview Chef Tory McPhail. Kid Chef Eliana has had a big Fall already. She is featured in the October 2014 of TeenVOGUE magazine. She is also featured in a book by Ramin Ganeshram called FutureChefs (Rodale), which released October 7, 2014. Eliana will be a featured chef on the WWL-TV Stage at the Louisiana Seafood Festival at New Orleans City Park on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 12:00pm, doing a cooking demo of her Shrimp and Andouille Pastalaya.

A supporter of her local community, Kid Chef Eliana is the SoFAB Institute Kids Ambassador and the Crescent City Farmers Market Marketeer Ambassador. Her latest cookbook, Cool Kids Cook: Fresh & Fit (Pelican Publishing), debuted in Spring 2014.

Her mission is to encourage families to cook together and to inspire kids to become culinary explorers. As Eliana always says, “Cool kids cook and get creative in the kitchen!”
