Teens have been talking and expressing their viewpoints for 100 shows on Express Yourself!⢠Teen Radio. Two original reporters, Rachel Glass and Courtney Cheng describe the importance of a platform for allowing young people to speak, debate, and express themselves. Co-hosts for our 100th program celebration, Youngjoo Ahn and Rachel Glass interview thirteen-year-old actor and philanthropist, Jonathan Morgan Heit who has starred in Shawn Levyâs “Date Night,” Garry Marshallâs “Valentine’s Day” and Adam Shankmanâs  “Bedtime Storiesâ as well as Disney’s feature “The Search for Santa Pawsâ and âSuper Buddiesâ. In TV, Jonathan played the lead role in âGranite Flatsâ and guest starred in Nickelodeonâs âDeadtime Storiesâ.  Other TV credits include “Monk,” “How I Met Your Mother,”  “ER,” “General Hospital” and “Close to Home.” His voice over roles include Cubby in “Jake and the Never Land Pirates,” âEscape from Planet Earthâ and over 20  âFamily Guyâ episodes, among others.
Heit is an enthusiastic fundraiser and advocate for several causes including  NextAid, the Los Angeles Mission, Book Pals and Lollypop Theater Network.  He is the first kid ambassador for Soles4Souls, a charity organization that donates shoes to adults and children in need and recently joined them on a trip to Haiti.  Heit has a new anti-smoking short film âThe Callâ that came out in late 2012 and is involved as a team leader for KIVA.
Jonathan has just been invited to join the UNICEF Young Ambassadors organization to work towards a global elimination of maternal and neonatal tetanus disease.
He has an interest in possibly directing when he grows up and to that end has already completed a course at The New York Film Academy where he wrote and directed two shorts entitled, “It Happens” and âCoincidence.â
In his spare time, Jonathan loves playing sports including lacrosse, snowboarding, beat boxing, basketball, and tennis and has an avid interest in science and technology.  He loves to sing, play the guitar, and dance and is also a tremendous animal lover and enjoys spending time with his family and two dogs Shadow and Bella.
