hormone balance

The hormone cycle is a function of a highly evolved chemical feedback loop between the pituitary gland and the ovaries and uterus. Hormones are messengers and work on feedback loops that are dynamic. When the loops are interrupted – the messages become garbled.  Dr. Margarita Ochoa-Maya brings profound wisdom and insight to the importance of the symphonious hormone rhythm.

Balance is needed everywhere; in spiritual life, and in daily living. Balance is also necessary within the body.  When it comes to hormones, balance is key. When it comes to women’s hormones, estrogen is balanced by progesterone. The effect of one hormone offsets the effects of the other. Together they maintain an optimal balance in the body. Too much of one hormone or the other can lead to significant medical problems. Too much of a good thing can be bad; not enough is equally a pretty serious problem. But who is to say what enough is?
