Helen Keller was so very wise when she stated, “Often we look so long at the closed door that we don’t see the one that has opened us for us.” When we dare to open our eyes to the door’s surroundings and free ourselves from our tunnel vision, we gain an awareness of what else might serve us better or why we were spared what’s behind the closed door.

Sometimes we just need to walk away from those closed door. There are other times that perhaps we need to open that door and stop being paralyzed by our fears and self-limiting beliefs. Our intuition may tell us that whatever is behind that door is worth investigating.

How do we know you may ask. We know when we can center ourselves through meditation and tap into that answer. We simply need to quiet the mind chatter long enough to let our core (our mindful brain attached to our heart) tell us what we need to do. Today, I invite you to find that all-knowing place. Go within and ask yourself what actions you need to take to free yourself from your self-limiting beliefs. Don’t let your painful past tell you to play it safe. Every situation is a new opportunity to make a change for the better. Today is a new day. A day to pick up the pen and start writing your next chapter of your life. Don’t wrap your choices up in the entangled web of your distorted beliefs that have you feeling unworthy of change, love, and a sense of belonging. Every day can bring you closer to the light of your true self. Let that light and awareness become your guide. It will never steer you wrong. Your brightest future awaits.
