Selling Peace in an Adversarial World is the theme of this week’s annual international conference of the Academy of Professional Family Mediators (APFM).

Peter Yarrow, director of Operation Respect, also known as a member of the folk music trio “Peter, Paul, and Mary,” will be giving the keynote address and performing on Thursday evening, Oct 22, 2015, at the Sheraton Hotel in Reston Virginia. Mr. Yarrow performs and speaks about his anti-bullying, peace-making, conflict resolution efforts in schools in the U.S., Israel, and elsewhere.

Other plenary  speakers are Justin Corbin on “Searching for Peace in an Adversarial World,” Eric Peterson on “Unconscious Bias,” Marvin Johnson on “A Tale of Two Cities – the Mediator Has No Clothes,” and Maureen Holland, Esq. on “Peaceful Persuasion in the Supreme Court – Gay Marriage Rights.”

More than ninety experienced mediators and related professionals will be presenting workshops about mediation skills and about educating the public about family mediation.
